The Christmas balls in my life

The Christmas balls in my life

As we celebrate Christmas every year, we keep adding more balls to our trees. Some Christmas balls might be already broken, a few are gone for good but a handful can still be hung on the tree for the next generations to see. They might be old balls or new, they symbolize many valuable and wonderful events in our life.

The first green Christmas ball: features my original family. I grew up in a humble home filled with hard working, strong, God fearing, giving and loving individuals. We were raised and brought up  to help one another in the family. I am the youngest and of course all eyes are on me, watching my every move. It's sad to note that there are only two of us left now in this world, my oldest sister and me. If not for ma and pa, all of us in the family and the next generations will not be born.

The golden ball on the center: features the family I have created. I have three girls, and one grand daughter. Again, in spite that everything is not perfect, but my children turned out to be good human beings. So far! In fact, the twins grew up to be full blooded minimalists, vegans, lovers of all animals and maybe one of the simplest Millenials today.

The third ball features my blended family. Again, it is not perfect but the family dynamics are always ruled with an unconditional love, forgiveness and acceptance.

We have to treasure with all our hearts what will come to light in our life everyday. Life is short- but Christmas balls are round, circled with decors of love, and that tell us there are no ends to it. Christmas balls will keep rolling. More generations are coming. Life goes on. Love goes on.

Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. He is the reason for this season.

Jesus's mission was a family business too.

His Blessed Mother Mary said, He will make things new. Yes, He did! Jesus cousin, St.John de Baptist paves the way every year so for our Lord, our God would be able to touch our hearts and clear the paths we walk through in our life.

Jesus was asked about family, He replied “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to His disciples, He said, “Here are my mother and my brothers.  For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

Jesus' family helps Him carry His passion, mission and cross-  do you give the same love and support in your family?

 Merry Christmas!
