Simple Life starts in this beautiful town

Georgetown, South Carolina is an hour and a half drive from where we live. So it's one of our favorite places to hop in  to eat lunch. There are lots of retirees who love this grand and historic town where some America's war heroes came from. It's not just a tourist spot to come and visit but it's the peace, quiet, and picturesque that make everyone wanting to return everytime they visit South Carolina. There is a very impressive boardwalk where you can stroll around and see the marina filled with yachts and fishing boats on the water and the condos,  museums, evangelical and Catholic churches and a medley of restaurants on the land side. In the residential areas, the houses are centuries old so with the number of hybrid willow, and sallow trees and shrubs adding features to the scenic view, a trademark of the South. The sidewalks are decorated with patriotic accents and beautiful colorful flowers from different breeds and types. The place is dog friendly. Usually you can see vintage car displays or not
driven around downtown. It's a simple town yet it is rich with a culture and lifestyle and natural beauty.

Personally, the vibes that I feel everytime I visit makes me grateful for the opportunity I am blessed.  Georgetown is such a sunny and lovely town where you can see couples from all ages and families enjoying walking around and having a good time.

When Thursday, Friday, and Saturday come, I craved to eat my favorite blueberry muffins and cruffins bake by a local bakery. Sweets for me are no longer my norms but once in a while I take a bite most especially if I finished a book or accomplished something worth celebrating. I also love the grilled fresh grouper or flounder with served with southern brown rice, gravy and string green beans sauted with garlic.

Don't forget to consider Georgetown, South Carolina to be your next travel stop or as a retirement venue to be added on your list of places to visit.
